Industry Overview:

The Global Biofuel Market has been valued at nearly $117b in the year 2022. With the help of The Global Biofuel Alliance, the value must be increased to $201.2 billion by 2030. Bangladesh, 8th largest country in the world in terms of population and there are many opportunities to scale up this industry. 

In the year 2017, the government of Bangladesh adopted a biofuel policy. The entire initiative has been formulated by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division for bio-ethanol production, Utilization, and plant establishment. The aim was to blend the bio-ethanol with petrol with an addition, octane at the ratio of 5%. The source raw materials for ethanol production were selected as maize grain, sugarcane bagasse, paddy straw, molasses, corn stalks, old newspapers, tree bark, scraps, vegetable waste, and waste yarn and cotton. It is Apparent that biofuels are an essential component of our future energy supply and in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. More innovation is key to unlocking the true potential of biofuels.
